Hi everyone. Mostly a (slow) progress report on the Mondrian table today. Had a bit of a cock-up at the weekend and had to re-do the first patchwork glue-up, and I take you through the stages of the rest of it.
If you haven’t seen it already the CTS hose and adapters are upon for grabs in the Giveaways forum, as are the mixed sample packs of abrasive.
Put your names down if you’re interested!
Catch you at the weekend!
Peter
Seems easier to glue magnets together, looks like it will be great when it’s done.
looks really nice! can't wait so see it finished and shiny with some varnish!
As @Paul Civati mentioned, I'd try it with some sort kind of frame to hold the pieces in place.
Oh hell yeah! That looks fantastic! Next year, one of the build projects has to be a large table.
When Michael Alm did his patterned plywood glue ups he found the same problem and solved it by creating a frame and using wedges instead of clamps. Seemed to work out much better.
So, what you're saying in a roundabout fashion, is that it's your wife's fault it stuck to the bench 😂🤣
