Hi everyone, and Happy New Year! Well, what a year that was; viral videos, hitting the 100k subscriber mark much earlier than expected thanks to a sponsored video, and significantly growing the channel audience, reach and income.
This is a longer video and I do spend a fair bit of time talking about the channel income, because it's important, and it's not the kind of thing that many channels are comfortable discussing. I'm happy to talk about it but please remember that I'm only discussing income, ie turnover, not profit, and please don’t think for a second that I’m either bragging or asking you to feel sorry for me.
If it's not something you want to hear about then use the chapter markers to skip around it - the segments on individual performances and future plans are clearly marked, but let me give you the bare bones here, in case a 27 minute video is too much to consider.

I made 55 public-facing videos, 7 of them shorts, making ~11 hours of content that received 7.6 million views over the year, which is +60% Year on Year.
The channel was watched for 738 thousand hours (+66% YoY) and it would take you 84 years and 3 months watching 24/7
We started the year with 80 thousand subscribers, and ended with 163k, so double, basically. Welcome, everyone.
Adsense money for the year was more than double YOY, and more than double the *entire* channel income for 2019. The channel has had exceptional income growth for the year.
Future plans. I'll be making fewer public-facing videos, as some projects really need the extra time, and I need to get off the weekly video merry-go-round. Member videos will remain the same, or increase.
I've been looking at expanding into other online content - courses, for example, and not everyone is a youtube fan, it seems - so I'm having the website redeveloped, with a members area and separate store as well. More on this later.
