In this one I take a look at the £40 12v Parkside planer from Lidl that looks a lot like the 12v Bosch, along with a £20 mini grinder and £18 drill/driver that are also on the Parkside 12v battery platform - which also looks uncannily like the Bosch…
I’ve put this video out a little off-schedule as these are in Lidl stores now, and once they’re gone they’re gone. I’ll have some early thoughts on the Festool Systainer saw out next, then the 32-year-old Ikea Billy bookcase home office up-cycle project after that.

Nice summary of the tools, Peter. I would have considered the planer but it wasn't in the last round of tools available here, unfortunately! I had the driver already and also a brushless version. I have done a quick comparison video should it be of interest to you or others.
