Truly makes me appreciate the side yards and the thoroughfares along the sides of houses in the US.

You and Mrs 10MW have shown loads of patience during that Big Build. 😀

Thanks Seamus! 👍

I was going to say, the Japanese are masters of making small equipment for small spaces. And that stuff has made it around the world now. When I lived there, I think they had a high powered excavator that folded up into your back pocket (ha ha, not really, but...) Glad the progress is real.

A pocket-sized digger sounds perfect, James! 😂

In the US the bring a crane to drop off the heavy equipment, they charge ridiculous amounts of money to hand dig trenches, works out to probably $100 an hour.. But our service charges are way higher than the UK. I rented a small digger and dug my own french drains when building a new shop, it was the best weekend ever :)

Sounds like fun Grant! Can't get them around our hallway, and the cost to crane one over was nuts for the amount of work it had to do.👍

There are mini diggers that will fit through a 2ft 6inch door. I have no idea why they are not more widely used - I first saw one a couple of decades ago and have wanted to hire one ever since. - yes I am lazy when it comes to digging holes.......

Yes, but they wont go around the narrow 'dogs leg' in the hallway, unfortunately; we'd have had one if they had. 👍
