Hi everyone. Just a quick one to clarify something that came up in conversation about the disc for the LR32 rail. I've also had my Bosch 32mm-spaced rail arrive, and hilariously they use a 4mm hole, so I think I'll knock the idea of accommodating that on the head for now!
And thank you to the many, many people who have written to me to tell me about the Rutlands Premium drilling jig that's doing the rounds currently; I'm also on the Rutland email list, and it caught my eye too!
I'll catch you again before the weekend.
Best, Peter
In the running for the most hacky-thing I've made, I thought I'd try to see what it was like making a 32mm LR32 end stop out of penny washers.
The 32mm washers I had a 5mm not 6mm central hole so I used the drill press to drill the hole out to 6mm in three washers and then used mitre bond (CA glue) to stick them together. The 6mm drilled hole acts as a thread for the 10mm M6 bolt; it screws quite nicely into the hole in the stack of washers and didn't need a nut gluing on.
Not quite as neat as Peter's but will work for the job.
Sound seemed fine to me 😁 but listening with Ear Buds anyway as Emmerdale was on 🤣🤣.
The sound is OK - for ears of my age (and others of the same generation) I can't hear the problem. Anyhow it's the content that counts more than tech stuff.
Remember the grey pound is still at a good rate......😉
Agree about the microphone - a tad fuzzy
Feedback on the audio / different mic. .. a little distorted. Not nearly as good as your usual rig -S-
