In this video I take my mid-70s style walnut # footstool and have a go at weaving my first seat with # Danish Cord. Please note that this is not a ‘teaching’ or how-to video, this is just me doing this for the first time and sharing my mistakes while bringing you along for the journey. Enjoy!
I bought my test Danish cord and nails from this eBay seller - https://ebay.us/RBuggF (cord), https://ebay.us/xHetbd (nails).
I bought the Black Danish Cord and nails from Seat Weaving Supplies - no online ordering, emails were unanswered, but they picked up the phone when called and delivered next day. 🤷♂️ http://www.seatweavingsupplies.co.uk

Nice job. I am sure that practice will make perfect.
I recently had need of a footstool - urgently - so I just knocked up a quick 4 legged square - nothing fancy - no tapered legs - just stuff I had lying around.
I used 25mm webbing and a staple gun. A cover strip over the staples - not really necessary - made it look OK. If I find it necessary to have something fancier, or a different size, I will go down the decent hardwood and the Danish cord route.
