MFT Sacrificial Strip & More! [member edit]

For all 10MW Plus members

So not the video I had planned, but in this one I answer a couple of questions, look briefly at the Bow Extender fence and go through the process of fitting a sacrificial strip to an MFT top. Enjoy!

A neat and in hindsight obvious way of cutting the sacrificial strip using a bearing guided bush 🤬

When I cut mine in my MFT I’m sure I didn’t have such insight and cut it with two straight edges to bear the router base against. Had terrible trouble keeping the router 100% straight and I’m pretty sure I had to re-cut one edge after the router wandered off course. All of which leading to a 53mm or thereabouts wide sacrificial strip.

And I’ve still plunged too deeply on occasions and cut into the MFT top through the strip. About time I replaced it as the cut line is looking more like a trench!

Interesting to see the long fence on the table saw. You just need to remove the guard now and you can be a US YouTuber.

Is it correct there's no non-members version of this video? I try to watch those instead to help boost the view count.

For me, the public (non-member) video has lots of interesting comments and 🌈 perspectives.

And yes, I’m hoping our meager 👀 bend the algorithm toward Peter’s channel.
