For all 10MinuteWorkshop Plus members
Hi everyone! Some major progress with the 3D printed drilling guide this week - thanks Stu! - and a bit of back-story to the small stool build - thanks Catherine!
In other news the bulk of the pre-orders for the second run of MultiJigs shipped today, the rest will go out on Monday, thanks everyone for your patience.
I've drawn a line under the 20mm drilling guide - it needs more engineering than I have the time - or skills - for, and especially for what would be a budget option. I still think it may be something to consider as an alternative for the MFT jig, but I'd rather put my efforts into getting the custom router bit nailed at the moment.
In other news I'm going to be a bit stretched over the next few weeks so may take a break from the mid-week videos, or make them much shorter - I know I ramble on, and perhaps a bit more focus would help!
As mentioned here Stu Parker has kindly made the 3D printer file for the 5mm drilling guide available to members, and that's in the Plans forum category - thanks Stu - alongside the Small Stool Factsheet.
The Drilling guide is available from Stu Parkers store here
That's all for this week though, enjoy the rest of the weekend and I'll catch you in the next one.

Nice to see someone else pulling out the Human Dimension & Interior Space book!!! I like to consult it because it is fascinating, although since my girlfriend and I are on the taller side we often balk at their suggestions for counter heights, etc... But what a fun resource.
I will be ordering a Drill Guide from Stu, soon, will it fit the LTJ Plus I wonder ?
I believe that the Parf Guide System drilling jig is available to buy separately as a spare part, which would be a good fit for a 20mm jig, albeit perhaps a little expensive.
Not sure of the current price or part number, but I did get one around 12 months ago as I thought my original was a little sloppy.
You could use any suitable Forstner Bit, the UJK one is expensive.
I'm trying to visualise you measuring the height of your toilet seat at home whilst Mrs. 10Min was passing the door, then trying to explain that you were doingā¦
That drill guide looks excellent, just proves what a bit of tinkering and testing can achieve! REALLY cool Stu provided the 3d file too. Very odd that the 20mm drill guide doesnāt want to be perpendicular, perhaps a solution will present itself in the future.
I've ordered my drill guide, it was a no brainer and will complement my jig nicely and fit on the bag as well.
Pity the forster jig didn't work out, so basically you have square enough squares and not square enough drill jig š¤£š¤£š¤£
Will regards to flat phase for videos, I still enjoy watching them. I learn so much. I am sure it will pick up at some point.
Deafo going to try the stool for my granddaughter.
Just ordered the guide from stu.
Great products and by far the best shelf pin jig I've seen apart from the Festool Holy rail, but a fraction of the price.
