Hey everyone, hope you’re well; in this one there’s a little bit of follow-up on the Festool drilling guide LR32 rail adapter - a good first effort but not quite there just yet, as you’ll see - there’s a bit of news about Makers Central, there’s a quick & dirty one-day build for the Bosch drill press, and there’ll be a slight change to the Groups function of the website as we make necessary changes due to Wix removing the Forums feature.
I’ll let the video do the talking, but just quickly regarding the Wix situation, it seems at someone at Wix has finally realised that pulling a service with only 4 weeks notice is actually pretty stupid and they’ve announced today - if you can call a one-line amendment to the blurb on my Wix Forum dashboard an ‘announcement’ - that the changes won’t actually take effect until July 1st. So we’ve kicked the can down the road for another 6 weeks, but at least it gives us a little more breathing space to look into alternatives, and how to move everything across to them. Phew!
Anyway, hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend, thank you as always for your amazing support, and I’ll catch up with you again very soon!
Peter

If you’ve any left Peter, a bit of my wax on the drill press build would work well 😀👍
I wonder why MC are being like that with you guys, your stands attract a lot of visitors 🤷♂️. Unfortunately I can’t make it this year, but hope you have a good day 👍.
Discourse is one hosted forum setup I'm aware of, though I don't think it has direct Wix integration. That could be a bother when trying to get something like single sign-on to work.
I see nodeBB - https://community.nodebb.org/topic/18775/wix-forums-being-sunset-what-s-next - are offering some kind of migration.
Good luck with the migration, whatever you end up doing! (and hopefully the Online Safety Act doesn't cause you grief either).
