Benchdogs Ultra MFT Workstation [member edit]

For all 10MW Plus members

In this one I get hands on with the first production example to leave the factory, of the Benchdogs Ultra MFT Workstation Medite, a premium MFT workbench system from Benchdogs.co.uk. Enjoy

Medite Ultra MFT is 31Kg - I was quoting the shipped weight šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø - and ~33Kg for the Valchromat. Still hefty, and beyond the recommended 26Kg single person weight lift limit, though how they can tell you're single is another matter...

I purchased this bench from Benchdogs.co.ukĀ but I did receive a discount; you can also receive a discount by using the offer code 10MINUTEWORKSHOP at checkout for 5% off across the board at benchdogs.co.uk. As a Benchdogs affiliate I may earn from qualifying sales at no cost to yourself; links to featured products are provided as a convenience, but if you prefer, a search for the product name is usually all you need.

Very nice bench there! I certainly want to see how it does with long term use/wear & tear. Personally, I wouldn't mind the weight as I would rarely be moving it about. The huge benefit is the compatibility and availability of all the other accessories. I look forward to seeing more.

Those short corner legs are brilliant! I agree with you and Geoffery, a no leg offering would be a great idea.

Yesterday I noticed Powertec came out with a competitor to Kreg’s ACS (MFT) table. At $550, It is priced $50 less.

The reviews are mostly about the smaller Workmate clone. Not much real-life feedback on the product.

Honestly, I’ve been fine with 3/4ā€ dog holes. The China workholding tools are offered in 3/4ā€ and 20mm sizes. The recent find of Fence Dogs for $10 made me ecstatic.

If I was spending $500+ on a workbench, then I would get Kreg’s larger table size for $50 more. It is a USA company, and the Customer Service is exceptional for advice, lost parts, etc.

Black Friday sales are upcoming! šŸ˜€

A general question about the videos that are ā€œAd free Member Editionā€:

If I only watch the Public equivalent video, am I missing out on anything?

It’s been my habit to šŸ‘€ the Public version of the Friday videos to give Peter’s channel a boost in the YouTube world.

The comments are also insightful and entertaining. šŸ˜†

Thank you for the extra views Niraj! YouTube doesn’t allow identical uploads, so the ad-free member vids - along with having no ads - lose the ā€˜subscribe’ CTA and the outro graphic is trimmed; otherwise they’re identical. šŸ‘

Read all the comments here on YT, Peter and it seems a very split bag of users. Cost seems to be the biggest issue for some and the weight next inline. It definitely is;

Can you afford it and how are you going to use it.

As commented, would you leave it unattended on site, no way and you might want to, if you can afford it link three together, so real range of opinion altogether. Fantastic appraisal video as always.
