You know how they say that you never really get better at something, you just get better at hiding your mistakes? Well in this video I’m going to ‘fess up to some real howlers that I made during the drawer cabinet build earlier in the year, and also show you how I resolved them. Enjoy!

Well Peter, we all do it and that phrase, to err is to be human, comes to mind, but you got yourself out of that hole rather well to my mind!
I was making drawers this week with hand cut dovetails. Towards the end of the day, I wanted to finish the last of the batch and had one side of tails to complete. I was tired and should have just left it for the morning.....
Half way, I got called away to take a phone call and lost my train of thought.
Coming back into the workshop and seeing the part completed tail board in the vice, I thought I'll just finish that before I have to clear up…
I was always taught when I was serving my time every tradesman makes mistakes but a good tradesman will always fix them the famous one in the trade is cutting something 100mm short 😫😂
Cutting mitres the wrong way is my favourite 😡😂
I don’t know what this is all about, I don’t make mistakes, much😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My father in law always used to say "the man who never made a mistake never made anything". It always comes to mind whenever I stuff something up whether it's woodworking, cooking or just life in general. It's how you retrieve it is what really matters.
