Hi Peter, what’s your advice on longer guide rails, e.g. suitable to cut a full sheet down for a TS55?

I have a Festool 800 and a LR32 1400 rail, the shorter being a good size for the MFT and the longer can use for full sheet cross cuts, but together they’re too short for a lengthwise sheet.

I did make my own full length rail as per your guide rail series but despite best care I’m not convinced the rib is 100% sub-mm straight, so its ‘OK’ for ripping sheet but I’d not really want to use it for the final cut.

The Festool FS/2700 is a very ‘spendy’ £350 so that’s ruled out. I think it’s a toss-up…

thanks Peter, I’d seen the Makita 3m at Elsons as well. Think I’ll go for that over the Evolution, although their joining bars are good, I’d rather have a single rail and not have any risk of misalignment

Those Evolution rails are excellent. If I needed more rails I'd absolutely get the "value" pack with the 2 rails, bag and clamps.
